Method:
  1. Cut the onion and potatoes lengthwise.
  2. Take out the peas from the pods.
  3. Heat 1 teaspoon butter.
  4. Fry onion for few seconds, followed by potatoes.
  5. Now add peas and 4 cups of water.
  6. Pressure cook the above. (about 2 whistles).
  7. Cool the contents and Blend in mixer till smooth.
  8. Strain and Boil alongwith salt and pepper powder.

Note : For four people. The soup is divine. My children like it
very much. The recipe is more or less similar to that of Tomato Soup.

Hi Manju, Pea Soup looks delicious and heartwarming. I use the outer pea shells as well if I get really tender ones in the soup. No one can guess. And they come to good use instead of throwing them away.

Hi Manju,

Thanks for visiting my blog.
You have a lovely blog! I have a good friend from college who is from Ludhiana - and all your food reminds me of her. She would cook rice and rajma for us in the hostel. Nothing to beat the taste of authentic rajma made by Renu!
I see that you're from Chandigarh. I have visited Chandigarh once long back. It is such a beautiful city! So organized. We went to the big shopping area in sector 36 i think and bought a whole bunch of things. I bought 'paranda's' in many colors ! I really miss those days :-)
Your blog has made me nostalgic. I hope to learn some good Punjabi dishes from you. Will add u to my blogroll soon.
Sasri akaal!
